Red Eye Removal tool

The common problem of red-eye is now easily fixed using the Red Eye Removal tool (). In either Quick Fix or Standard Editor you can quickly and easily change eyes back to their correct color. Note: When you import images to the Organizer you also have the option of letting Photoshop Elements automatically fix any red-eye that it detects.

Zoom in. It's always a good idea to zoom in on the area you want to edit so you can see the details. Choose the Zoom tool () from the toolbox. Click on the area of the red eye until you can easily work with it.

Remove the red. Select the Red Eye Removal tool () and then click on the red-eye area. The red-eye problem will be fixed once you release the mouse!

Healing Brush tool

The Healing Brush allows you to get rid of minor dermal imperfections from your photo subjects by sampling a good area and then applying that sample to the bad area. The Healing Brush feature () is split into two parts: the Spot Healing Brush tool (commonly referred to as the "zit zapper") and the Healing Brush tool. The former is for small spots and the latter for larger areas.

Select your brush.
To use either function, click and hold on the arrow in the corner of the Healing Brush icon in the toolbar and choose the desired option. In the options bar choose the size and type of brush you need.

Spot be gone!
For the Spot Healing Brush, simply click on the spot you want to remove and poof! The spot is gone! For the Healing Brush tool, Alt-click on an area of the image that you want to sample. Then click on the area you want to cover up. If it is a larger area (a Band-Aid for example), you may need to click a few times to cover the whole area.
